Improves outcomes in complex cardiovascular, respiratory and other (eg, metabolic, toxicologic) emergencies by expanding on core ACLS guidelines and encouraging critical thinking and decision-making strategies. Through instruction and active participation in case-based scenarios, learners enhance their skills in the differential diagnosis and treatment of prearrest, arrest and postarrest patients. Heavy Equipment Operators work on many different projects including roads, bridges, construction, mining, and the timber industry. Heavy Equipment Operations Level 1 students will have an introduction to the following: terminology and terms used for operations, basic safety, and career opportunities, comprehensive overview of safety requirements on the sites with an emphasis on OSHA, MSHA, and NIOSH, along with proper PPE, and maintenance. You will be introduced to the eleven most-used pieces of heavy equipment, learn to describe the functional operation and uses for each piece of equipment listed, as well as drive train and hydraulic systems. You will also learn prestart checks of machines’ hardware, driveline, hydraulic, electrical components, and controls. You will be introduced to and learn the process of planning and executing earthmoving activities on various types of projects. Finally, you will be introduced to grades and learn the concepts and skills needed to prepare graded surfaces using different pieces of equipment, and learn to interpret construction stakes and the proper markings needed to set a proper grade and slope. 40-hour class

Upon completion of this class, or if you have shown competency from work-related experience, you can move on to level two (2) and three (3).

In this class you will learn all the basic skills of floral design in a fun atmosphere. Your instructor has over 10 years’ experience designing primarily wedding florals for high-end floral shops. YOU will learn about tools, prepping flowers, and greening with different types of greens. YOU will complete arrangements ranging from bud vases to larger centerpieces, learn the art of bow making with different textures and much more. Each week YOU can create your own masterpiece to take home and show off. Fee includes all supplies to create a bud vase the first night of class and instruction for all classes. You can pre-order flowers for the following week’s class for $15 or bring your own flowers to arrange. Tools needed for each class: floral knife, small garden clippers, scissors, floral tape, wire, and gardening gloves if your fingers are sensitive. 6-week class (15 hours)

You will learn the basic fundamentals of firearm safety, how to handle and shoot a firearm, sight picture, cleaning of a firearm, use of a flashlight, different stances, and use of force to include deadly force and when it can be used as a security officer. The course will leave you with the knowledge and understanding of what an armed security officer can or cannot do while employed on a job site. You will be given an introduction to the legal issues facing the armed security officer. Last day of class will be on the Range.
